Friends of Normandy Village School (PTA)
Who are we?
Friends of NVS is the PTA of Normandy Village School. We are a group of parents and carers who support the school in various ways by volunteering our time and skills. Mostly we fundraise by holding fun events for children and adults, but we also have other fundraising initiatives as well.
How do we support the school?
At the start of each academic year, we ask the Headteacher what’s on their wishlist for the school. All the teachers contribute ideas to this list, which is available on our Friends of NVS website (see below). The wishlist usually contains big items for the school, and has previously included iPads for classrooms and an outdoor running track. This year, we are fundraising to cover the cost of coach hire, so that each class can experience an outing that will enrich their learning, without the burden of increased fuel costs being passed on to their parents and carers.
Getting Involved
There are various ways to get involved with supporting Normandy Village School. From volunteering your time to donating cakes, cash or raffle prizes, there is something for everyone.
Become a Class Rep!
Each Class has two Class Reps, who meet with the teacher once a term and act as a communication channel between the parents and teacher. Class Reps also share details of Friends of NVS events with their year groups, helping us to find volunteers to bake cakes, run stalls, hide Easter Eggs, decorate Christmas Trees… If you’d like more information, please email us at the address below
Become a Trustee!
Being a trustee doesn’t necessarily involve taking on a heavy workload. If you’re interested in finding out more about this role, please get in touch.
Join Friends of Normandy Village School!
As a parent or carer of a Normandy Village School pupil, you are automatically a member of Friends of NVS. If you would like to offer practical help but don’t want to commit to a formal role, why not join the Friends of NVS WhatsApp group, where you can find out what’s happening and get involved as often or as little as you want.

Events at Normandy Village School
This year the children have enjoyed activities such as the Halloween Disco, Christmas Fair, Spring Fling Disco and Easter Trail, as well as creating Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts.

Did you know?
The school has a Charity Clothing Bank hidden to the left of the Main Entrance. By recycling your textiles here, not only is it convenient, but you’ll also be helping us to raise funds for the school.
